Road closure – Wed Short walk 27/3/19

March 24, 2019

Advice received from Roger Whittle.

“If people are travelling towards Kibworth on the A6, the turn off on the left just before you get into Kibworth taking you through Kibworth Harcourt and then to Tur Langton will be closed.
To miss these road works you can carry on the A6 through Kibworth and then take a left turn onto the West Langton Road, pass through West Langton then take the road on your left and then bear right through Church Langton and at the T junction turn right towards Glooston and Cranoe.”

Thanks Roger.

Ex Chairman’s Thanks

February 26, 2018

Thanks to all my LFA friends for the card  with the present of brushes and paints for my ‘retirement’. I really appreciate them. I think a mud scene should be my first attempt— watch this space. Thank you Tuesday Group in addition for the birthday card  and thanks ‘Boots’ I feel very honoured to have a ‘Post’ on the Web Site.  I look forward to your company and friendship on walks to come.

Happy Birthday

February 26, 2018

It was leaked at the AGM that our retiring chairman has a birthday today. I’m sure all members of the Leicestershire Footpath Association would not want this event to pass unmarked.

January 7, 2018

The Elms Social Club Bushloe End, Wigston LE18 2BA

In a change to the printed walks programme the 2018 AGM will not again be at Woodhouse Eaves. The Baptist church has been a good venue for many years but the time has come to move on with an opportunity to take a different walk following the meeting.

Formal notice of the AGM with details of the venue will arrive to members by post but we offer this advance notice that the 2018 AGM will be at The Elms Social Club Bushloe End, Wigston LE18 2BA.
