Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to lead a walk (or two) in our summer programme. There are now only 5 weeks on each of the long and short walk calendars to fill.

It is not too late to volunteer and it we want to give everyone to opportunity to lead a walk. This also helps to spread the work load amongst the wider membership to ease the demands on the core group of regular walk leaders.

The vacancies are as follows:

Short walks: 4/4/18, 11/4/18, 25/4/18, 15/8/18, 29/8/18.

Wednesday walks Christmas buffet

December 15, 2017

48 hardy walkers braved the ice and cold to participate in the Christmas long and short walks on 13 December. The start of their walk was made easier by a serving of mulled wine and warm mince pies to keep out the cold!

On their return to The Lodge at Brascote, they were joined by 12 other members to enjoy a fantastic hot and cold buffet followed by mouth watering puddings! A massive thank you to Anne Constable and her team of helpers for all their hard work and hospitality.

Everyone had a very enjoyable time and in the process raised £432 for LOROS.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Wed 13 December Christmas walks & Buffet. Summer Walks programme

December 11, 2017

Following the severe weather over the weekend, Ann Constable has confirmed that the roads to The Lodge at Brascote are clear.  Ann advised that the best approach to Brascote Lane is from Newbold Verdon, as the road from the other direction is not completely clear as of today, 11/12.

Looking forward to seeing many of you there.

We now have dates for summer walks programme and we will be looking for Leaders to volunteer on the day.  please bring your diaries!

Kind regards.
